It’s a good cause
John Donovan makes a salient point for the rest of us to remember during a season that is supposedly characterized by giving.
The President has asked the American people to give to those less fortunate this year.
One such group would those who live in Iraq. They have freedom now and elections are coming in January. But any country that has seen a war fought within it (not to mention a dictator for most of the forty preceding years) is going to find itself a little down on it’s luck.
So, what can you do?
Simple, donate a little something to the Spirit of America. Spirit of America works with men and women in uniform who are on the ground in Iraq and who are in the best position to describe the needs of the people there. Donating to the Spirit of America will help our servicemembers improve relations with average Iraqis and the average Iraqi gets to know that our soldiers and our people care about them with more than words.
It’s a good cause. You should do it now.
