    Mickey,

I know how you feel – I’m currently running three blogs (two for me one for my wife) and only one of them is really active… the other two are neglected and can be dormant for long periods of time. I think the trick is to set yourself a goal of – write a couple times a week, just short 10 minutes posts (unless content dictates otherwise.

Sometimes the short off the cuff post will get a good conversation started… or lead to other posts down the road.

But you know all this already :)

It’s hard to write a blog when you don’t do so professionally. And, sometimes, when it is (see, for instance, my wife’s blogs).

It’s not that I don’t have anything to write about, but it’s that I’m having a hard time finding the time to do so. And the general lack of comments I get kind of acts as a further discouragement to spend a lot of time here.

Well, it’s not even that either. It’s more that when I finish working I want to pretend to have a life outside of the Internet. I’ve been living and working on the tubes for most of the last 15 years. I have three kids, and they like to spend time with me. I like to spend time with them too.

So, when 5:00 rolls around, I tend to go away and play video games or do things with my family.

Anyway, I haven’t given up on blogging yet. But, I do have a life.
