Bitter? Yeah, I guess I am, a little (not much). McCain has made of career of promoting the image of being independant and honest, and I believed him. But he’s willing to toss it all for a shot at being President; how’s he any better than Clinton or Obama? As for Thompson, since he’d already withdrawn when I posted that…

So, who are you supporting now? Nobody?

Wow, Rob! Bitter much?

I didn’t say that I liked McCain, did I? In fact, I’m an avowed Fred Thompson supporter. I even voted for him yesterday in the Texas primaries.

I remember the Keating Seven scandal. I know about the lobbyist story.

I’m not a McCain fan at all. But, here we have someone (or maybe two someones) who lied to voters about an issue important. That was done to buy their votes because they considered him “on their side”.

I’m a NAFTA supporter and think that the people whining about outsourcing caused by free trade need to figure out how to become more competitve.

If he’s actually proven to be a liar in the primaries what makes me think that he would be any better if actually elected?

SInce that criticism can be applied equally to any career politician, that means you’re voting for whom? Nader? Please don’t tell me about McCain; ignore the sex part of the lobbyist story, and look at what he says about lobbyists, and what he does when their largess if offered. Or look at what he says about the Christian right, until he needs their help to win an election.

Eight years ago, I would have happily voted for McCain, but the Straight Talk Express got derailed by the Bullshit Bus. Four years later, when they offered him a ride on the Bullshit Bus, and he got on and hasn’t looked back.
