    All liberals?

They’re there to protest a speech given by well-known conservative commentator Ann Coulter. The article I linked to surely didn’t make it sound like they were there in support of Ms. Coulter.

Because of the shrill tone taken by liberals these days.

    All liberals?

In this neck of the woods, yes.

You are the exception to the rule and I really doubt that you would find much of a home amongst American liberals. The Howard Dean branch seems to have taken hold of things.

What’s not very surprising is that no one has really batted an eye about the tone that holding signs like “Iraqi Babies are Good Eatin” sets. You’ve seen me react to it, but who else? And do you really think that Ann Coulter thinks that Iraqi babies are what’s for dinner (along with some fava beans and a nice cianti maybe)?

I think that’s because no one is really surprised. The liberals here in the states are all about this. So we have Bushitler the Chimperor, Ann Coulter eating Iraqi babies, and apparently conservatives shoot welfare mothers in the name of Jesus.

No one strikes a more moderate tone unless they’re working at getting elected. Al Gore provides a good case study in this. He was much more moderate when he was running for office. Now that he no longer has to put up a front to gain votes, he’s no longer anywhere near as moderate. I think his frothing anger is going to cause a stroke or an aneurysm. And the Kerry campaign must condone it since they’re sending him as a campaign surrogate to Florida.

To say that I am the exception is to say that almost all liberals engage in extreme behaviour, which is probably not true regardless of where we live.

I’m not the exception, like millions and millions of other liberals (and conservatives), I’m just not news.

If I tried to hit Coulter with a pie I’d be news, if I got caught making a personal feces deposit on a Kerry/Edwards lawn sign (as happened in Ohio) I’d be news – but I don’t, so I’m not.

Beware the corporate media, they don’t comment or report on the norm – their stock in trade is the bizarre, the unusual, and the exceptions.

Here come the liberal brownshirts trying to disrupt a peaceful event would you like to see one of those braindead dweebs try to swat a my america type and ends up with a few less teeth a fat lip a bloody nose and two black eyes or worse off in intensive care

There’s Protest and Then There’s Over the Line

Iraq, National Politics Comments (6)

The Arizona Daily Wildcat has a story up about two people trying to put a pie in Ann Coulter’s face.

Two jerks really and the story therefore isn’t that remarkable. So, why mention it here?

Because of the shrill tone taken by liberals these days. If you have a look at the picture taken of the more peaceful protest which took place outside you’ll note the sign there in the back, partially obscured.

Iraqi Babies Are Good Eatin'

What does it read?

“Iraqi babies are good eatin”

It may or may not be more peaceful than the “Shoot A Welfare MOM 4 Christ” sign held by the screaming gentleman in the foreground.

Slobokan has an award called the Civility in Politics Award. Perhaps these protesters should get one because those slogans are clearly over the line?

[UPDATE: I believe that the one in the middle reads "Coulter's Crazy Crusades".]
