I’m tired of it

I’m sure most of you have seen those pictures proporting to show that God favors Al GoreJohn Kerry in the 2004 election by showing hurricane tracks and counties and for whom a majority of people voted. Like this one (click for full size picture):
Well, I’m sick of seeing them so I did some plotting of my own using NOAA data (click for full size picture).
See what fun you can have with pointing out where the old track is wrong and where the things really went. I’ll post my own thoughts a bit later in the evening.
[Update: My thoughts]
Well, now that you’ve had some time to digest where the Dim says the storms went and where they actually did go, let’s notice some things.
1) Hurricane Charley doesn’t even stay in the state.
2) When Charley leaves the state it does so via Osceola, Orange, and Volusia counties, all of which went for Gore.
3) Hurricane Francis also goes back out on the water after crossing the state (contrary to the other map).
4) When Francis leaves, it does so via Hernando and Pasco counties, both of which went for Gore.
5) When Francis makes landfall again, it does so through Jefferson and Leon counties, both of which went for Gore.
6) When Hurricane Ivan made landfall, it did so into Alabama, not Florida.
I’ll also point out that when Charley makes landfall again further north it hits Long Island (New York) and Massachusetts. And for whom did their voters cast their ballots? You got it: Al Gore.
Maybe that message isn’t so clear after all, huh?

Jeanne The Hurricane
This was the prettiest photo of Jeanne, coast line of Nassau, notable for being the fourth big hurricane to hit Florida. This shaping up to be one bad hurricane season for Florida.
Reuters photo, really should give credit. Expect the pictures tomorrow…
