I got a mention on radio tonight!
Wil Wheaton and Anne Mitchell were on the David Lawrence Show tonight. During Anne’s turn she mentioned that she heard about GMail4Troops through my blog. So, she, of course, volunteered me to do a php backend for the site. (Just kidding, Anne! I would have been offended if you had asked someone else!) I had considered doing it in ColdFusion, but the ISIPP server is really in a better position to handle the loads that we’re expecting to sustain for the next few days, and that means PHP. The front end is done, the database is set up, but I’m still working on the admin section in back. I should finish up that part tomorrow.
Still, while I’m not doing this project for the fame, it’s still pretty cool to get mentioned on the radio, especially when good things are said about you!

What’s going on out there?
My blog reading (blurfing as Lisa calls it) has really taken a nose dive lately. I’ve finished the invitation website and the house is in order. That means it’s time to sit down and see what my favorite reads have been writing. Should be interesting …
