CPAP and Sleep Apnea
My good friend, Anne Mitchell, has a new rave about CPAP machines up on her blog, the Accidental Evangelist.
I’ve been using a CPAP machine for going on 5 years now, since not long after the birth of our first child, Timothy. My own sleep apnea was bad enough that the tech who did my sleep study asked how I was able to function on 4-6 hours of non-sleep per night.
Now, I have to admit that I couldn’t tell any difference in wakefulness after I got my CPAP, but when I try to sleep without it now…well, I can’t. It’s worse than horrible.
The only quibble I might have with Anne’s post is that she doesn’t mention the Breeze headgear with nasal pillows, which I use and love.
Happy sleeping.
